How does the laying pattern change the estimate?

The selected pattern supplies a planning allowance for cuts and breakage. Straight layouts use a lower suggestion than diagonal herringbone. Enter your own waste percentage when the installer or supplier provides one.

Does joint spacing affect how many pavers I need?

Yes. The calculator treats each paver plus its planned joint as one module. Use actual dimensions and joint width consistently so the piece count is not overstated or understated.

Does this include paver base and bedding sand?
